 PRESIDENCY COLLEGE – THROUGH A PERSONAL LENS

A Presidency Alumni looks at the institution through a personal lens. A personal lens is of the most vulnerable lens as far as accuracy of image is concerned. It rarely gives a photographic image. This is exactly the reason why we have conveniently forgotten a gifted journalist of Victorian London who wrote under the name – Boz but who can forget Pip or his creator? The personal lens, in some holy moments catches glimpses of something that belong to all of us – who are not personally related.

 Living in the times of recession

We had been hearing tales about US sub-prime crisis for quite some time now and the US market having some kind of problem. I never bothered to read through in details about it. It seemed to have almost nothing to do with me – some people in far-off US, not being able to pay up their loans incurred on acquiring property.

To confess: this is my first attempt to write an editorial in my life. Our Editor had been away and insisted me to write this. Since this is my first attempt, instead of an editorial, I would tell my experience while working with Pentasect for last six months.
